ETM-LA was honored to work with Rachael Denny, Lydia Lee, Baraka May, and Heidi Rojas at our 14th Annual Music Unites the World Festival. These women exemplify mastery in the arts, care as educators, and integrity as professionals. They each hold a unique journey with music, yet are all connected to its power and impact. We were honored to welcome renowned professional songwriter and bassist, Eva Gardner (P!nk, Cher, Gwen Stafani, The Mars Volta), to one of our partner schools as she shared her passion for music.

Rona Liu

Award-Winning Production Designer Rona Liu (Pixar Animation: Bao, Turning Red) unfolded the artistic process of Bao at ETM-LA’s Family Hour. Liu shared her wisdom and encouragements with over 3,000 students at the event. Her passion and dedication in the arts is an inspiration.

Kristen Bell

Award-Winning Actress Kristen Bell made music students’ wishes come true by joining them on Disney favorite, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” Championing ETM-LA’s mission, Bell shared that “music is imperative – it is vital; music is a language we all deserve to speak.”

Women in Choral Music

 

ETM-LA was honored to have musical heroes and women Zanaida Robles and Baraka May work with our students at the 13th Annual Music Unites the World Festival, which brought together hundreds of music students, educators, and parents from across Los Angeles for two days of multicultural music-making and community-building. The ensembles they each coached and conducted sounded beautiful during the final concert. The coaches worked alongside our music teachers who teach their students all year long.
