We know the devastating impact this situation has had on our families, friends, schools, and communities. ETM-LA continues to monitor ongoing developments across Los Angeles County. Listed below are safety, recovery, and mental health resources to support those who have been affected.

Care Camp (LA County Parks)
To support families impacted by the Eaton fire, LA County Parks Care Camps will provide youth and teens with a supportive space for fun and recreation including music, arts and crafts, sports activities and field trips to the LA County Natural History Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, Dodger Stadium, & more. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided daily; teens will also get supper.
Monday – Friday, Jan. 13 – Jan. 31, 2025
YOUTH CAMPS AGE 5-12: 8 am to 5 pm
TEEN CAMPS AGE 13-17: 8 am to 7 pm

Reconnect with Loved Ones
If you’re trying to locate a missing loved one due to the fires, the Red Cross can assist. Contact them at 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) and be prepared to provide as much information as possible to help in locating your loved one.
Find a Shelter
If you or someone you know needs a safe place to stay, the Red Cross operates shelters across the region. Visit redcross.org, use the free Red Cross Emergency app, or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Red Cross shelters are open to everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or citizenship status. Disaster assistance is free, and shelters do not require identification to enter—just your name and prior residence location.

The Five P’s of Evacuation
People: Include a plan for everyone in your family, including a meeting place
Pets: Have a plan for your pets, including securing them so they don’t escape
Prescriptions: Pack your current supply of prescriptions, along with equipment for daily treatments
Papers: Pack important documents, including reference phone numbers and account numbers
Photos: Pack photographs and other mementos that are irreplaceable
- Charge necessary electronic and lighting devices. Fill up generators.
- Park cars away from trees.
California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund supports long-term solutions for communities affected by wildfires in Los Angeles County.

- Latest LA Metro service information
- Uber: Residents in Los Angeles County who’ve been ordered to vacate their homes can get credit for an Uber ride to get to an evacuation site. The $40 will only be valid for trips to an active shelter and by using the code WILDFIRE25.
- Lyft: Lyft announced it will be offering $25 vouchers, valid for two trips, to 500 customers from now until midnight on Jan. 15. Use the code CAFIRERELIEF25 to get the Lyft ride promotion.
