Join Education Through Music-LA this summer to continue growing in your music learning & exploration!

Education Through Music-LA is thrilled to host the 2026 SUMMER PROGRAM for instrumental band & string students entering 4th through 8th Grades.
(Please note: For 7th-8th Grades there is no beginning level; intermediate level ONLY).

 

Mon, June 15 – Fri, June 26, 2026 | 8:30am-11:45pm

(Not including weekends or 6/19, Juneteenth)

Frequently asked questions

What experience levels are accepted?

The program is open to:

  • Beginning Students: 0–1 year of experience
  • Intermediate Students: 1+ years of experience

What instruments can students learn?

Instrument options depend on the selected program and location. Options include:

  • Band Instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, percussion)
  • String Instruments (violin, viola, cello)
  • Guitar and Ukulele
  • Modern Band Instruments (electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals, etc.)
  • Choir (no instrument required)

Does my child need to have their own instrument?

No. Students are welcome to:

  • Use their own instrument
  • Borrow one from their school music program
  • Request to borrow one from the summer program (limited availability)

How do I choose the right class for my child?

Select a program based on your child’s interest, experience level, and preferred location. If your child does not currently play an instrument, they can choose one they would like to learn.
