Terri Olson Walsh has taught vocal and general music, choir, private piano and voice, as well as group piano lessons to thousands of children and adults in Los Angeles, Denver and the Chautauqua Institution in Western New York State. She created Sonshine Music Company in 2005, which she still pulls ideas from to teach the group piano classes. Ms. Walsh counts her 20 years as the Sonshine Choir Director (Pre K – 2nd Grade) at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood crucial to her development and the development of so many awesome students who have gone on to study music, play music professionally, teach music and most importantly, just be great people! Mrs. Walsh holds a California Clear Music Teaching Credential and has taught elementary vocal music for the Los Angeles Unified School District. With two music degrees including a Master’s in Music Education from University of Colorado, a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Kent State University, a Yamaha Piano Teaching Certification, and excellent schooling in piano, voice, composition, dance and theatre, Mrs. Walsh leads the students in well rounded, informative and entertaining music sessions. She is thrilled to continuing reaching out to our youth as an Education Through Music Los Angeles Teacher to help them discover their talent and joy for music.
