Renee Cannon has been involved in music since she was young and has had a joy and passion for the field ever since. She plays the oboe, tenor sax and baritone horn, sings Alto in her choir, and strives to learn more about music every day. Renee graduated from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Elementary/Early Childhood Education, a M.A. in Multiple Subjects from the University of Phoenix, and holds a certificate in Theory, Harmony and Ear Training from Berklee College of Music. In college, Renee was in the second generation of students to join the Orange Crush Roaring Lions Marching Band, where she became the section leader of the Baritone Horn section and a member of Tau Beta National Honorary Band Sorority, Incorporated. Since 2020, Renee has had experience teaching general music and instrumental music in a variety of settings and was also formally a fifth grade teacher. Renee firmly believes that when students are involved in the performing arts, there is an obvious improvement in academics and social skills. Outside of the classroom, Renee loves to read, write, dance and sing and is a lover of all things Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.
