Franklin F. Gómez, Director of Programs, holds the degrees Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education with summa cum laude honors from Boston University, and both Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with music and cum laude honors and Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting with an emphasis in Wind and Band from California State University, Northridge. Prior to joining ETM-LA, Dr. Gómez was the Music Director at various schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He also has had the opportunity in mentoring and guiding educators seeking to earn their California teaching credential.
As a clinician, Franklin Gómez has guest-conducted middle school, high school, all-state, college, and community bands and orchestras throughout California. His professional affiliations include NAfME, CBDNA, CMEA, and SCSBOA.
Franklin is honored and thrilled in being part of the ETM-LA administration and being part of the mission and vision of giving children the opportunity of hope and success through a well-rounded music education.
