Brandon Xue grew up in Melbourne, Australia but relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to study at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music. While attending the school, he held various jobs and internships focusing on music instruction. During this time, he was also given opportunities to develop additional pedagogical skills via numerous volunteering efforts. He specializes in jazz improvisation, having studied extensively with 2018 NEA Jazz Master Joanne Brackeen, as well as teaching music theory (ear training, harmony, arranging, counterpoint). He has since earned a degree in Music Education and has experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. Outside of the classroom, Brandon spends his free time writing and performing music.
