Los Angeles, CA – On Friday, January 31, Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) hosted its 15th Annual Principals Leadership Conference, welcoming school principals, district leaders, parents, arts & community members, development staff, and arts advocates in Southern California. The annual conference encourages leaders in education to share, learn, and plan strategic goals to successfully explore music program growth across schools, districts, and local communities. By the end of the conference, attendees left with the knowledge and understanding of the impact of music education, transformative leadership, measurable involvement, and strategic planning for music program sustainability.
The vision of ETM-LA aims to provide quality music education for every child through standards-based curricula and qualified music educators. Additionally, the vision is achieved through training school administrators and districts to confidently manage and effectively sustain a successful, cutting-edge, and impactful music education program. A truly successful music program thrives in the conditions of quality music instruction, district collaboration, consistent professional development, evaluation paired with assessment, accountability, and community involvement. What sets ETM-LA’s model apart is our dynamic, modern, and relevant professional development for district leaders, partner schools, music educators, parents, and community members.
