Jennifer Jordan

Jennifer began her career after graduating from the University of Arizona Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Music in music education and vocal performance. She immediately started teaching in her hometown of Tucson, AZ for an innovative arts integration program called Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA) as an Arts Integration Specialist where she taught K-5 elementary classes, managed teaching artists, and collaborated with classroom teacher teams. Here she built the foundation of her original curriculum development, designing integrated music lessons from scratch for all grade levels, as well as professional development content for classroom teachers. Jennifer brought the bones of that original programming with her when she moved to California in 2007 and created the general music program for Manhattan Beach Unified School District elementary schools.

Upon going back to school and graduating with her MBA, Jennifer entered into the world of game-based learning and non-profit education programs. Here she helped launch an online portal to support playful learning in collaboration with AT&T as part of a 3.8 million investment. She then ran away with the circus as part of the Two Bit Circus team and continued to create original STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) education programming while also launching the first STEAM Carnival production to over 12,000 attendees in Los Angeles, and 15,000 attendees in San Francisco.

Jennifer is excited to wield her California Single Subject Teaching Credential once again and be part of this incredible ETM-LA team! When she’s not making music you can find her playing cars with her 4 year old son, hiking the trails, adding salsa to everything, and laughing with her husband.
