PROGRAM AND OPERATIONS INTERN
Job Description
The Program and Operations Intern will work with the Education Through Music-Los Angeles program and operations staff to facilitate the processing and management of program evaluation data. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining the Resource Center, as well as assembling curriculum and lesson planning materials for ETM-LA teaching artists and music educators. Additional tasks include organizing online concerts for the winter season, developing curriculum and lesson planning materials for teaching artists and music educators, and providing project management and administrative support as needed.
This is a remote position with flexible hours starting in September.
$15/hour; 400 hours to be completed between 9/21/20 – 12/18/20
(Timeframe may be extended through March 1, 2021.)
Qualifications
The intern should display an earnest interest in music and music education and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Basic computer skills, such as Excel and Word as well as familiarity with using google drive. Being an initiative taker and a team-player with an interest in the field of education, a positive attitude, personal motivation, and a desire to learn about nonprofit organizations are also a must.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
2020 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 – September 1, 2020. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply. Eligible students may participate in the program once.
NOTE:
- Students who have already earned a BA, BS, or a higher degree are not eligible for the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program.
- Students who have previously participated in the program are not eligible to participate a second time.
- Students who are invited to participate in the program will be asked to provide verification of eligibility via college transcripts, driver’s license, and other documents to show enrollment status and/or LA County residence.
