Sonny Keeley

Sonny Keeley is a Deaf clarinetist originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. Their wide expanse of musical experiences there informed their musical knowledge today, and instilled a passion that made them decide to pursue music despite their lifelong Deafness. While receiving their undergraduate degree from California State University of Northridge in Music Education, they enjoyed performing with various music ensembles, including the CSUN African Music Ensemble and the CSUN Wind Symphony. They were hired for Education Through Music-LA, first as an intern, then as a Music Teacher, and are now going into their fourth year with the organization. They specialize in both Elementary General Music and Elementary Instrumental Music, with the goal to make their classroom accessible for every student who walks through their door.
