Reed Whisler
Reed Whisler is a multi-instrumentalist from Burbank, California who is passionate about the accessibility and importance of folk music. After playing the baritone and trombone for five years in middle and high school, Reed turned their attention to the fiddle after being inspired by the book, “Little House on the Prairie.” Following the “old-time sound”, Reed has performed in West Virginia and North Carolina where they played guitar for the Green Grass Cloggers at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Festival. A 2020 graduate of Warren Wilson College, Reed knows the power that music has to unite people across time and space. As a new music teacher with ETM-LA, Reed aims to share the spirit of music to the next generation so they may find the magic for themselves.
