Johann Mathews

Johann Mathews received his Master’s degree in Music Composition from Azusa Pacific
University in the Spring of 2021 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the
Bangalore Conservatory, India. During his Undergraduate education, Johann’s merit in

years. His passion as a music educator and composer has enabled him to work with several
exceptional musicians, teachers, and composers and his works have been performed on several
occasions in India and the US. A notable performance of an original Choral piece includes the
Gideon’s International Annual Indian Conference in 2019. His most recent performance was his
Senior Graduate Recital in Music Composition at Azusa Pacific University, conducted in May of
2021, where he showcased 45 minutes of original works set for orchestral, choral, small
ensemble groups and short film. Here he best exemplifies musical styles of the worlds of John
