Co-founder of Nossaman’s Infrastructure Practice Group, Nancy Smith is nationally known for her expertise in use of design-build, public-private partnerships (P3s) and other innovative contracting methodologies for public projects.
Her pioneering efforts and continuing involvement in the infrastructure development process have laid the groundwork enabling public agencies throughout the United States to use non-traditional methods for project delivery. She has been instrumental in developing contracts for some of the largest transportation infrastructure projects in the United States, including the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge and the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit System.
She holds a BA from the University of Florida and a JD from Yale Law School. She is a member of DBIA’s legal committee, a founding board member of the DBIA’s Western Pacific Region, and on the board of the Los Angeles chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. She is also active with the Transportation Research Board, serving as Chair of the Public Contract Law Committee.
