Irene Navarro, Mentor Teacher–Supervisor, is a vocalist and music educator with a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in music.
Irene has also participated in a variety of training and certification programs including Orff, Kodaly, and Music Together. Before moving to Southern California and joining the Education Through Music-Los Angeles team, Irene spent nearly a decade teaching K-8 general music, working on curriculum development, and mentoring beginning music teachers for Rhythm and Moves Inc.
Irene is currently serving as the Director of Children’s Music at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica.
